STEERING COMMITTEE-MEETING 26.04.2024 – ONLINE
Welcome and greetings to partners: Ángel Lozano from Fundación Antonio Bustamante (FAB) welcomed attendees, discussed the meeting agenda, and highlighted the importance of the project on worker postings. He noted the absence of Polish partners due to personal reasons. Each partner organization briefly introduced themselves. The project includes three Spanish organizations (a foundation, a union, and a business association), two Polish organizations (a union and a business organization), and one organization each from Germany, the Netherlands, Czechia, and Bulgaria, all working in sectors like construction, agriculture, and care.
Ángel Lozano explained the project’s goals, focusing on improving the implementation and application of EU laws on worker postings. The project targets workers and employers in agriculture, construction, and care, as well as social partners, liaison offices, and public authorities. It aims to enhance the accessibility, transparency, and quality of information on employment terms, facilitating transnational information exchange and best practices, with impacts extending to non-EU countries.
Planned activities include evidence collection and document analysis by participating countries, an advisers’ meeting to prepare a code of conduct and information portal, the establishment of a network of advisers, national capacity-building meetings, an international roundtable for information exchange and strategy definition, and dissemination materials like manuals, webinars, articles, and newsletters. Ángel Lozano reviewed relevant worker posting directives and outlined the project methodology, including the development of reports, codes of conduct, and information manuals, as well as training sessions and international roundtables.
