The event began with a warm welcome from Ángel Lozano on behalf of the Antonio Bustamante Foundation (FAB), followed by the introduction of the project partners and the event agenda.

Ángel Lozano, the project expert, presented the final publication, highlighting the project’s objectives, the regulations related to European Works Councils (EECs), and the research findings. The need for transnational information and consultation systems in the public sector of the EU was emphasized.

Two minimanuals were explained: one on creating EECs according to Directive 2009/38 and another on transnational information systems. Both aim to provide clear information to workers and public sector managers.

The partners expressed their support for the publications and their contents.

Italian expert Giuseppe Catanzaro analyzed the challenges in establishing EECs in Italy and the lack of worker participation in the public sector.

The creation of a video and an article to disseminate the project’s results was discussed.

Two agreements were presented: one directed to the European Commission on transnational information and consultation systems in the public sector and another related to the project’s continuity. Both were approved, and it was agreed to submit them to the Commission by October 4th.

The representatives of the partners signed the agreements, emphasizing their importance.
